I'm going to be having winter senior portraits (taken by my friend who is an amature) outside in the snow, but I'm not sure about how I should pose. I'll be in a wooded area, and there is a building. I'll be wearing a long, wool, black jacket, a red scarf, and boots. As for what I look like, well, I get stopped a lot and told that I look a lot like America Ferrera.

I'm struggling to dress for my body type when all advice on pear-shaped bodies assume that your top is so small that you don't even have breasts. Well... I'm a DD. Yes, my shoulders are narrower than my hips, and for that reason, I'm in the 'pear-shape' category, but that doesn't mean I don't have boobs! So all this advice on bringing attention to the upper part of the body with bright colours and showing off the waist actually makes me look like Pamela Anderson instead of someone trying to balance out her shape. I'm very simple in my taste - I like looking elegant as opposed to 'fashionable'. I have chunky thighs and rather chunky calves too, but I love wearing short skirts! I'm not an obvious pear shape lke J-Lo or Beyonce. I'm more like J-Lo or America Ferrera on the bottom (actually my butt doesn't stick out as far as theirs) and more like Salma Hayek on the top! Any advice? Thank you!

I don't understand. So it's perfectly acceptable to bash fat people? I go on message boards for America Ferrera and they go on and on about her shape, which I clearly don't see anything wrong with it. She happens to be full figured, but she is a lot thinner than how she was when she was in the movie "Real Women Have Curves". Also, the same goes for the female lead in the movie "Paranormal Activity". While I don't agree with people bashing heavy set people, it's one thing if someone does it to someone who is really big, like they can't walk right or people who clothes that are too small for them. I've seen that. But what about the heavy set people who actually do carry their weight well and such? It's as if people feel that overweight people have no reason to live, oh and spare me the health card. I've heard it hundreds of times that people try to play that card to disguise their real reason for b****ing, and that is that they feel it's unattractive. I may be heavyset myself, but I exercise and carry my weight well and actually wear clothes that fit right. I know some answerers are going to try to justify their reasons, but I really want to know what the real reasons behind this.
