,My parents were decent moral law abiding people. Minorities who had lies told on them, stereotypes. They were clean, neat, frugal. Had to be. My Mom had Post Traumatic Stress syndrome. She did not have a schizophrenic bone in her body. I was around her longer before I graduated than anyone. She did not hallucinate. She was not a thief or liar. She wa s blackmailed, threatened and framed. They wanted to sue a doctor and wanted us to all be crazy. I am not my sisters or brothers. They were liked because they dropped out of school My nursing career meant a lot to me. The object was to harass me out of it, assuming I would go or wanted to work for the state. I was thrown into the street homeless. My kids had to join the military just to work. I caught someon trying to frame me for arson. I had not shoplifted. I graduated in good standing. Here, someone working through human resources blocked me from getting work at all the hospitals. Then I took a job with the state, stupid me. Yes. The guy was on the wrong side of the road and ran me off the road, harassing me, Making me out to be crazy. A local lawyer here says that is just a lie. Just coincidence. He did not get a ticket or anything. There seems to be no law enforcement here. Probably a few nice ones. I was accused of coming here for ulterior motives. What? To be near my sister is all. Right now, due to this, I owe a couple hundred on a bill. Just got the call this am. They are going to take my auto, I am paying on that. I'm a female, 42, w/ kids grown & in college. My husband talked me into quitting my job back in June to start a small business with a couple of our acquaintances. I really didn't want to get involved in a small business because I'm having some fairly major health problems (both mental and physical). What's happened is that I'm no stuck in a position to where I'm the one who suddenly owes taxes and a lot of money to several people and businesses. I can';t deal with the stress of all the money I owe, I'm barely making $300 a month and I can't pay my "business partners." Due to the recession, there are no other jobs to go to. I started out spending $8,000 to get this business started, borrowed another $20,000 to keep it going, It barely pays for itself after 6 months and I'm unable to pay my bills. My lowest-paid employee makes more money than I do. I can't deal with the stress. I do not qualify for Medicaid in my state because on paper I make too much money. The social workers look at the large amounts of money run through my business account and I'm instantly denied. They're not accountants and they don't understand that I'm paying out as much as I'm taking in. I'm supposed to be paying for workmans comp and other business-related insurance, and I haven't been, simply because we do not have enough cash inflow to pay for it. My business partners and my husband essentially tell me the following: "Quit complaining, do your job and in a year or two it will get better." My husband and my partners refuse to see that I've gotten to the point where I'm tired of working for almost no pay at all. They are doing the same, but they also have other sources of income. I do not. My husband, who is spear-heading this whole thing refuses to admit that the business is not going to take off like he'd hoped, and he yells at me every time I talk about trying to find another job somewhere else, even if it's at a fast-food joint. After all, some money is better than no money at all. He refuses to see the what the stress of this is doing to me. My partners have threatened to sue me if I left the company to find another job. My company owes one of them about $3,000, plus her wages for the last 6 months, and I owe the other around $5,000, plus his wages for the last 4 months. No one has considered the fact that I personally put up $20,000 in this, plus my own wages (at current avg of $15.00 per hour) for the entire 6 months. I can't leave, and I've become a slave to this company, to my business partners and to my husband. I've grown so resentful of my husband over forcing me into this that I can barely stand the sight of him, and our marriage is now a joke. We can't be around each other more than 5 minutes before we argue to the point where we're throwing stuff at each other. I've come to the conclusion that my 17-yr marriage has been killed by this business - along with a lot of other "little things" that have added up over the years. I have female-related health problems that desperately need attention, and I can't afford medical care. Along with these, my mental stability is crumbling by the day. I have problems with extreme depresson and anxiety, and my OCD (which had been dealt with for several years) has now come roaring back. I find myself sitting in a near-catatonic state, crying for no particular reason. I have tried to figure a way out of this situation and there is no way out without being sued for what little I have left. Oh, and I can't just leave - my husband and I have moved in with my mother, whose health is declining rapidly. We needed a place to stay and she needed help around the house. I can't just walk off and leave her. She can barely manage to get dressed in the morning, and can't walk far because she has breathing problems and is on oxygen. So, what it boils down to is that I want out of this situation, but I can't figure a way out. Like a rat trapped in a maze with no exit, I'm going slowly crazy. Trapped in a small business I want no part of...help.?
I have a female german shepherd that was given to me a little over a year ago by a sibling. When I received her she had blood coming from her neck where the collar was too tight and her ribs were showing. I agreed to take care of her and keep her as an inside pet, she was outside for about a year. I took her to the vet, got her up and doing 100% better and fully house trained. I already had a male the was 2 years old and trained with a beautiful bill of health! Now a year later the person that gave me the dog is suing me for an excessive amount of money because they stated that the agreement was I would give them 2 puppies out of every litter! How do I fight this (untruthful problem) in court? Let me mention that this is a sibling that I have had to put a protection order on in my past and forgave.

Here is my case: During some months when I was unemployed I found a job on CL which was basically one where a breeder would drop off a few puppies at my place and I would take care of them, post ads on kijiji and essentially sell his dogs to people down here in Toronto. I love dogs so it seemed like a good way to make some quick money (which at the time I DESPERATELY needed). I gave these dogs the best care imaginable and did what I was asked, I sold a dog to a lady and explained to her that I was just the seller and the breeder would be the one she would contact with any health questions or if she wanted money back..etc...After a while she contacted me and said her puppy got parvo, which I freaked out about and contacted the breeder over. I gave him all the information, took my dog in to be tested (a puppy at the time) and told him I didn't feel comfortable working with him anymore. I also gave him all the numbers of the people who bought a dog off that litter an told him to call them all and explain to them that they should keep an eye on their dogs. The lady said I was very helpful and thanked me, she said she understood that I was not the one responsible and commended me on quitting. Months later I got a letter in the mail saying she was suing me for $2600 in vet bills, I called her and she said again; she didn't want to sue me but couldn't get a hold of the breeder. In my defense I have emails where the breeder stated that I am not responsible for any health bills and that I am literally only in charge of selling them, he own the dogs. I also have all the emails from when I informed him of the lady's problem and from when I quit over it. I have my vet record showing that my dog tested negative for parvo and the fact that no other owners reported health issues. However, she might have a copy of a receipt with my signature on it but it also has the breeder's name (not signature) on it and nothing on that bills says that I am responsible for vet bills. Parvo is an EXTREMELY contagious disease, so it's impossible that only one puppy would have gotten sick if it got sick while in my care. I think that's everything. I am really worried, I have very little money and I am trying to pay for school. This would ruin me. I realize how foolish it was to involve myself in this but honestly I was SO close to being homeless at the time. I am also wondering how payment works if I lose, do I need to pay right away? I really really can't, I am totally broke. Would the judge take this into consideration? **** Also, I have some people who bought dogs emailing me statements saying their dogs are healthy but there is no way of getting signatures on those statements. Are they still valid? Help. I am freaking out.

Bf and I purchased a ferret from a petstore in april of 08. (WE have four years to sue in our state). I contacted Corporate of this petstore and they said its ours and their franchises problem not theirs. So I want to go after the petstore for all the money we lost. 1. The ferret was guaranteed to be healthy. She was not exposed to any other animals when we brought her home and suddenly came down with a URI (coughing couldn't breathe wouldn't eat, slept all day and all night was aggressive) We did not sign any contracts upon purchasing her and there was no sign in the building that stated they weren't responsible if they sold us a sick animal or not. The only thing we signed is a sales slip saying there would be a 25% restocking fee if we took her back taken out of our total purchase. We had to pay over $100 in the first three days for emergency vet care. They said they'd give us $20 for meds they could have provided without a vet. Wanted us to wait until thrusday to see their vet. My BF as witness heard the manager state their ferrets usually came down with URI's and went home with medications. We were never given anything to explain any of this and were not told upon purchase we had to use "their vet" 2. Petstore Managers and employees insisted she was 3 months old. ER vet and the birthcertificate we got with her say she is Five months old. 3. She was supposed to be "UTD on vaccines". I have a picture of the sign that states this. I have the professional opinion of the Vet that works with the American Ferret assocaition in an E-mail that says a 5 month old ferret should have had 3 distemper shots by 14 weeks old, and her rabies at 3. We had to pay another $100 to get her shots up to date. We thought with the sign saying UTD on vaccinations, that her extra cost $60 extra dollars mean thats why. Other petstores were $100 for a ferret with one vaccination and that was it. 4. She had to be quarantined from the store REFUSING to give us vaccination records with her. The breeder (I talked to the owner) Said all their ferrets go home from the store with a paper stating what shots she's had, and a "welcome home" packet. We did not get that with her. She had to be quarantined for biting myself, mother, and I for rabies. She bit my boyfriend and we called the ER vet to see if we should go see if he needed stitches (it was BAD) they said go and that was another $600 (She was on quarantine and we were recommened to go to the hospital. Had she had her shot records she wouldn't have been quarantined at all) 5. I want pain and suffering. We've been contacting them for over a year now. The last letter we wrote them with copies of everything, got a response. by phone NOT from the owner from a random employee that knows nothing about what is going on. They said we can bring the ferret back they'll re sell her and call us when they get in more kits and we can get a new one paying the 25% re-stocking fee. We've had this ferret a year and love her dearly. We just want the money we lost trusting them as a store to sell us a healthy animal. We purchased one other ferret from a petstore. She was sent home with a "how to" book, proof of her birthdate, her vaccination record (One CDV shot at 3 months old) and cost us $99.99. Should I file with the BBB first? or Just go straight to court? We have all the proof of this, pictures, medical bills/records and everything else we got in that time frame including a letter from the ferrets breeder stating that the health certificate they tried to say was hers SHOULD NOT have been given out with her.

The Bible states if a person, male or female, looks upon another with lust, they have committed adultery, so from that standpoint, if that is a justifiable criteria for divorce, many couples have cause for divorce. I was married 20 yrs. loved him, but thought he was not happy with me. I would like to tell all the females who hit on him, it never changed our sex life one iota. We simply abstained for a little while. I divorced him. We were going through so many crises, you would not believe. There was no professional counselling available. (I actually think they planned our divorce ahead of time. I certainly did not want a divorce. Did not plan to divorce him at all. I had a fit of anger, hurt and neither of us could or would back down.) There were no illegal drugs being used by us,and I had no emotional break down, nor am I crazy. Crises: 1. Graduating from college. I sacrificed a lot to go to college, a lot. We had plans. 2. State Boards. 3. Son graduating high school, wanting to go to college.4. We were a little behind in bills. Could have caught up. Not entertaining bankruptcy thoughts. 5. Breaking into a new career, job hunting..Son needing a job. 6. I reported something to authorities.Stupidly. 7. Someone we knew had a crime committed against them, allegedly. We were not involved in any way, but were harassed and harassed over it. I was harassed and threatened in school over it, whether real or not. 8. We had tried to file lawsuits and were greatly defamed by the defense, our reputations hurt, then the damage covered. We were law abiding people. Christian. I am Christian conservative. So was he. I don't believe he was really messing around on me. I think it was a misunderstanding. However, it all played right into the hands of the ones we were trying to sue for gross defamation of character among other things. I simply could not take any more. He hurt my feelings, and I filed for divorce. I lost my career, home, everything but the kids, (they were most important) everything I had worked so long and hard for, my marriage of 20 years.The term "went ballistic" describes what I did.Act in haste , repent in leisure. After I divorced him, there was no life. Would not let me work. Defamed me more,ruined completely. I moved all over trying to work, have a life. It was not my husband who defamed me, but the ones we tried to sue, to no avail.I had good secretarial skills then, knowledge of health care, received my RN license. Let it go.sent my license back due to the harassment, did not lose it. I graduated in good standing , I moved all over hoping to relocate, work, finish my education, date and marry to no avail. I was ruined. Ruined. Then they had to cover the ruination. I was 39 when I graduated and divorced. I am 62. I have never recovered my peace of mind or reputation. Never dated or remarried.Never recovered from what the defense of the lawsuits.. My husband did not do it to us. I was not homely then. I am overweight now due to quitting smoking and forced inactivity, I am having health problems. I am not able to work. After my divorce,unable to get work I did before marriage.(I didn 't want it, it was a last resort to apply for. The idea was that I would have to sue for a job and that would be compensation for all thedamage done to our reputations, all the loss. Assumption was I wanted my old job back. I did not.made fun of us as if we were not human, had no feelings, had no values, nothing. As if we were animals, bugs.) I Never had trouble getting work until I went to college and divorced. Has been a night mare all the way. This was not about OCD, mental illness, sexual activity, adultery. We should have simply sold out and relocated, all together. It was the only possible solution. Had I any money, I would have taken the children and relocated. Night mare situation. He left, could not get work. Came back. I was still mad and hurt and would not take him back. So, we lost our home, everything we worked so hard for. I lost my career, had to let it, go. The entire community gloated over it. THEY LOVED IT. Churches were vilely hateful to me. My daughter and I ended up in an apartment which was really horrible and uncomfortable the year around.When I remember that town, I think of a song "A town without pity". It was churches without pity, also. I did not deserve any of that treatment, we did not. I never saw a female done that way before. It was simply revenge, hate and spite. Have any of you had similar experiences. iF YOU are thinking of divorcing, you and your husband need to sit down and work out a long plan in advance. I was not planning to do so. He was not that I know of. There is a point where a person cannot take any more, I wanted to get on with my life. Was never allowed to do so, and it was never to protect me.
