A weird question about weight loss, well a few questions?
Just recently I've been experiencing problems digesting milk. Every time I drink some I suffer from terrible gas. I only drink skim milk and I've recently tried lactose free skim milk, but it has the same effect. Since it's not lactose intolerance, what is my problem?

    Can no longer consume milk?
Hi, am still trying to get better understanding of the Atkins approach. Am in process of reading the TNT book, and if I understand it right, because the insulin levels are low, the body will get into some sort of fat burning mode, instead of storing it. what I don't get is, why will the body go into trouble of melting existing stored fat, when he have a belly full of food all the time, isn't its easier and more common sense for it to digest the fresh foods and extract all he needs from there ?

    Atkins fat burning fundamentals?
oks so i did an experiment at school where we put 3ml of egg white in a test tube with 2 drops of HCL (hydrochloric acid ) to simulate the pH of a stomach then put the test tubes in different temperatures of water to see what worked faster. I need to know how long it would take to digest like 3ml of egg white in the human body as we ran out of time and couldn't finish our experiment. Thanks :)we used temps of 27 C, 37 C, and 47 C

how long would it take to digest 3ml of egg white?
My baby was born a week ago at 29 weeks gestation. I've been pumping since the next day and my milk has yet to really come in. I pump every 2-3 hours during the day and I don't go more than 4-5 hours at night. I've been taking Fenugreek for 3 days now and my milk still is not coming in well. I only get about 10 CCs which is less than 1/2 an ounce each time. I know anything is better than nothing but he is eating 16 ounces per feeding and they are having to supplement with formula. I know formula is not the devil, but his intestines are still developing and he seems to digest my milk much better. I just want to give him the best and it's not working out to well. Any tips on how to get your milk to come in better? The lactation consultant said my OB could prescribe Reglan, but I just saw an add today on TV about a lawsuit for that drug causing serious side effects. I don't want those things happening to me or my baby.ok sorry for the typo....I meant 16 ccs not 16 ounces. 15 ccs = 1/2 ounce

Ok, this is a monolouge for 12-13 year old girls and a drama teacher. Its meant to be a comedy but i don't think its very funny. Its all done in a posh accent ok, please tell me what you think. Hello! And welcome, to the first of many classes for young ladies. Each week you will leave with yet another exciting qualification. This week, the making and using, of a cup of tea. Like any class I must address the safety issues first. So who knows what happens when you boil water? Nobody? Well it gets very hot. So you MUST carry the kettle by the handle or you'll be burnt. I'm frequently asked what burnt means so I'm going to put this simply or we'll never get anywhere. When you're burnt it's when you touch something hot and it hurts. Next using sharp implements such as a teaspoon, under no circumstances must you put this in your eye or attempt to digest it. Now that's out of the way, onto the main class. First put your teabag in to a cup and although the tea is edible do NOT try and eat it. Next boil your water by putting it in the kettle and switching the kettle on, now pour it into the cup using the handle and add milk and sugar if desired. To avoid scalds or burns you could make your tea with cold water and put it in the microwave removing both your hands and head and metal objects such as your spoon which may cause your microwave to explode. Alternatively follow simple instructions on packet. Congratulations, you are now qualified to work in starbucks. Collect your diploma on the way out and next week, getting the right toy in the box almost every time. Thank you. what do you think? thanlk you. I can't make it any longer, its meant to be 1 minute 2 maximum, mines 1.13. but is there anything i could change to be funnier. thanks again.

Is this ok for my drama monlouge? i need an outside opinion.?

FLATULENCE: Flatulence is the expulsion through the rectum of a mixture of gases that are byproducts of the digestion process of mammals and other animals. The mixture of gases is known as flatus, (informally) fart, or simply gas, and is expelled from the rectum in a process colloquially referred to as "passing gas" or "farting". Flatus is brought to the rectum by the same peristaltic process which causes feces to descend from the large intestine. The noises commonly associated with flatulence are caused by the vibration of the anal sphincter, and occasionally by the closed buttocks. Everyone has it. Most people think they have too much of it. And passing gas in the wrong place at the wrong time can cause great embarrassment. Flatulence is the state of having excessive stomach or intestinal gas. This can result in uncomfortable feelings of bloating, as well as increased belching (burping) or passing of gas from the rectum. Most people produce about 1-3 pints a day and pass gas about 14 times a day. Flatulence itself, although not life threatening, can definitely cause social embarrassment. This embarrassment is often the reason why you might seek medical help for excessive gas. •History has numerous anecdotal accounts of flatulence, including Hippocrates himself professing, "Passing gas is necessary to well-being." The Roman Emperor Claudius equally decreed that "all Roman citizens shall be allowed to pass gas whenever necessary." Unfortunately for flatulent Romans, however, Emperor Constantine later reversed this decision in a 315 BC edict. •In the mid-1800s flatulence took center stage with the French entertainer Joseph Pugol ("Le Petomane"). Pugol was able to pass gas at will and at varying pitch, thereby playing tunes for sold-out shows at the Moulin Rouge. Such was his success that lesser competitors began to appear, including the Spaniard "El Rey" and the female Angele Thiebeau (later revealed as a fake using hidden air bellows). •More recently, flatulence was immortalized by Mel Brooks in the movie Blazing Saddles with his bean-eating cowboys. •Nonetheless, if you are concerned about excess gas, it is not a laughing matter. It is a medical concern that you will want to talk about with your health care provider. •The primary components of gas (known as flatus, pronounced FLAY-tuss) are 5 odorless gases: nitrogen, hydrogen, carbon dioxide, methane, and oxygen. •The characteristic odor is attributed to trace gases such as skatole, indole, and sulfur-containing compounds. •The flammable character of flatus is caused by hydrogen and methane. The proportions of these gases depend largely on the bacteria that live in the human colon that digest, or ferment, food that has not been absorbed by the gastrointestinal (GI) tract before reaching the colon. •An estimated 30-150 grams of this undigested food reach the colon in the form of carbohydrate every day. But this amount can vary with diet and how well your GI tract is functioning. The unpleasant odor often associated with flatus is generally attributed to trace sulfur-containing compounds, produced only by particular bacteria not found in everyone.

FLATULENCE: This subject has remained a mysterie for years...?
sry. Anyway I ate a lot without time to digest the food, a day ago during the day I weighed 163 which meant I weighed 160. Is it completely irrational that the weight should have gone up 10 lbs? Or is I just because I didn't have enough tome to digest?

I went to a bug wedding last night eating I had to wake up the next morning after only 6 hours of?
