Is it better for a woman to join the Airforce or the Navy?
Aviation boatswain's launch and recovery rate good or bad choice? I'm going up to MEPS Monday hoping to get the aviation boatswain's launch and recovery or ABE rate. I was just wondering what u guys think of this rate good or bad choice ? How are u treated? And how is advancement? Should I think if another rate ? Is there any bonus with ABE rate? I know it all depends on the asvab but I think I'll do well? All answers will help thanx! Which is better ABF,ABH or ABE?

I DEPed in Navy last august as an E-1, 3 months after i completed 25 college credits, i submitted my credentials and ask if am i going to be promoted to E-2 and they said yes. How to be sure that they are going to advance me to E-2? I'm a freshman in college. I'm planning to major in mechanical engineer. But im thinking about going to either the air force or navy next year. which branch will benefit me more in terms of future careers, jobs availability, job safety, deployment/advancement rate, etc...?? Please advice me.by the way, im thinking between navy enlisted engineer? what do they do compared to those mechanical jobs in the air force? im also thinking about the navy nuclear program too. is it a safe job? and what difficulty i might face? would it be a better choice since i wanna b a mechanical engineer?

Female. Turn 20 in April. 20 Units @ Accredited College. I want to join the police academy in the later future..in hopes of being a detective or even working with an Intelligence Agency! I would even work my butt off to be a pilot! Whatever provides adrenaline.. I def. want a Bachelor's by the end of my term, while in either branch of the military. Which branch is great with school? Okay living conditions? Rate/Rank advancements? And very important, Which can I travel more with? Oh!! and what specialty is highest rated? which specialty is most valuable in and out of the branch? And if I go Navy, what is the chance i can do A school in San DIego, CA?? Thanks!!

I'm still in the process of joining the navy however I talked to a good friend of mine that just joined about a year ago and he said I should think about the FTS program. Well I found a little information about it and I think it sounds good. Does anyone know how I get into the program? Is it a good idea? How is the advancement ( I'm going in as n E-3 )? Navy FTS program good or bad choice?
My husband is set to leave for basic training (Navy) on the 20th. However because he holds a GED, his recruiter tells him that he must be advanced to E2 to go to boot camp. I believe it has something to do with his rate. (CTT) Now as the date approaches closer and closer I wonder what will happen if he doesnt pass, He was given two weeks of notice that he had to do this,,,What happens if he doesn't pass the advancement test to E2?I mean will he be discharged from dep? Or have to pick a new job? will his bootcamp date be set back?

im unsure what i want to do in the mil. i currently have an EMT-B cert and volunteer in Fire/EMS. i have been considering the navy as a corpsman or rescue swimmer. My concerns are if i go in as a corpsman i will get deployed as a marine medic, which i have no interest in, is there a way to be a corpsman wihtout that possibility? and if i go AIRR (rescue swimmer) what are the advancement oppertunities and civilan jobs i could get? im trying to pick the best option for my future.
