virus caused "unable to contact your dhcp server" error?
My computer has been really slow and everything lately so I have been trying to find a website that I can do a virus scan and then fix the problems but it appears that there are a million sites that have free virus scans but NONE that I can find have a program for free to fix the problems that the virus scan finds. So I am wondering if anyone knows of any websites that will fix problems that you find for free? Last scan I did said I had 961 problems and I can't find anyway to fix them....just incase anyone is curious the scan said the problems were found in the following areas...complete registry (137 items)...ActiveX, OLE, and Com (267 items)...Add/Remove programs (34 items)...Application paths (7 items)...Shared files (10 files)... Startup items (4 items)...File Associations (358 items)...and Sounds (144 items).......any help would be GREATLY appreciated...By the way the computer is about 2 1/2 years old and it is a Dell, Dimension 3000 with Windows XP Home EditionI would apprecaite SERIOUS answers...not don't go on naughty websites...i don't so those answers DO NOT help!!!
I'm looking for free pc repair websites?
Recently I have been having tons of script errors on my pc. On some web sites a box pops up saying "there's been a script error on this page", "continue running scripts?, click yes or no." Other issues include trying to verify my Mcafee virus subscription. When I log in to my Mcafee account I get a screen that says Activex error with solutions on how to fix it. When I follow the instructions, it still doesn't work. Lastly I am having a problem with Macromedia Flash Player. When I try to play something that uses Flash player I am told I need to donwload/install it, but when I go to do that I am told it is already installed on my computer. However flash player does work on one of the Windows XP accounts on the computer just not the other two. If I bought registry repair software, would that help any of this? This is so frustrating, please help!
