American trying to write as if i am british?
Hi im american and was wondering if this story sounds like a british person.. please tell me if there are parts i can make more british or words to replace. Prequel: Darkness may creep in, but the light will shine on. It was a Monday, the sky was still pink, the grass still had dew, and everything was silent and innocent. Until the unexpected happened, I left them, for a better place. The first to get the call was Mr. and Mrs. Duningham, the perfect couple in their mid sixties, and my foster parents. Then Roderick and Aster, my best friends since Pre K got the call, slowly the news started to spread. Soon enough everyone knew, everyone knew that I was gone. Darkness may creep in, but the light will shine on. That reader, would have helped my friends that day. But that sentence hadn't been written yet. From where I stand now, I can see everything in a different perspective. Of course, everyone else could see what I saw, if they only tried. Roderick would have seen the scars on Asters leg, Mr. Duningham would have seen that his boss was a bit dodgy, and Tilly would seen that I had took a fancy to sweedish fish. Remember those things reader, since they will appear in this story, in due course. Chapter I: Memories Dear reader, right now you might be a little confused. So for your sake, I will start from the beginning. But before I do that, I should inform you. This is not a happy story, it's a mystery, a quit unhappy one at that. If you would rather read a jolly good happy story, may I suggest Dr. Suess?
