Why did the NHL change the entire format of the Olympic hockey tournament and exercise all that power?
Have you seen what the Canadian team did after the gold medal game? They drank wine and canned beer and smoked cigars on the ice while still in uniform after the game. Here's the pictures: http://www.comcast.net/slideshow/sports-olympicsights4/1/ How utterly disrespectful to the sport in general. I would have been pissed if the American team did this.
Canadian women's hockey team celebration?
There's this girl that is a senior in high school, and i'm a junior. i really like her and i think shes pretty cool. we have ap bio together, but shes only there like half the time. but the last time she was there, she asked me to be her lab partner, and we worked together really well, we also joked around a lot. she was also telling me personal stuff about how she hates that people don't think shes smart, but she is. then we were talking about how i play hockey, and she was like you should teach me how to skate some time, and she said shed really wanna go. i feel like this would be a great chance to flirt with her, but i don't know what more than hold her hand i should do to flirt. another thing, i'm pretty sure shes single, but not totally. her facebook status was changed from relationship to single about 2-3 weeks ago, but i'm not sure what it is. i want to go skating with her, how do i find out if shes single without being obvious? what should i do to get her to like me? how can i flirt while ice skating?

Hi Everyone! I have played roller hockey for years. Pickup and league play. My in line skating skills very good. (Ice hockey style skates, not rec) I also have also been involved in competition skiing for what seemed to be forever. Slalom, gs, super-g..etc. To put it lightly, and I apologize if I seem arrogant, I consider myself far above average in both of these areas. I even have even spent time messing around with something called "sled-dogs". Imagine skiing down a mountain without poles and only in your ski boots. Had no balance issue with it other that it was slow and really awkward trying to go across a lot of the bumps with any kind of speed. Problem is, it's been a few years and the rink I used to play at closed down. No more hockey. I love hockey. So I will have to drive 90 minutes to the closest arena if I want to start playing again. After driving that far to find a roller rink that offers hockey, there is three ice hockey rinks nearby. (Ontario and Riverside). Having never touched the ice before with skates, would it be difficult to learn? Meaning back to square one, when I first had to spend a long, long time learning to skate and find my balance, weeks and months. The style of stopping on the ice visually looks really familiar to me. Just don't know what awaits. Any comments or suggestions would help me greatly. Thanks.
Learning to ice skate.?
RECAP -- After winning, they returned to the ice with beer and cigars. I thought it was great !!!! Why is the IOC "drawing the line" on Propriety, when the Olympics LOST it's "Greatness" as soon as Professionals were allowed to participate & Commerciality became more important?? Who are they kidding, acting all "Proper" ?? :)) LOL I was routing for the American Gals, but I mean... How often does someone win a Gold Medal -- LET THEM CELEBRATE for goodness sakes !!!!! ( remember Brandi Chastain after the World Cup win ? ) Okay - You know where I stand. How about you? MQ2 -- Do you agree with the IOC finding it "in bad taste"? MQ3 -- What do the Olympics represent to you, now that you do not have to be an Amateur to participate? Last comment -- I guess I'm just tired of people being "bent out of shape" because of Celebrations. This was a once in lifetime moment (most likely) ... and now these Gals are "apologizing" etc... .. BQ -- Do you find it funny, when people complain about a Q being asked... ...and yet they answer it ? LOL .. Oh -- I didn't know about the "underage" thing. My bad !! .. "Harley" -- :)) LOL good one !! :) .
Why is the IOC so uptight about the Canadian Women's Hockey celebration?
It just seems like there are a lot of very popular sports over the pond, i was just wondering if any of them are actually more popular than the other! Thanks :)

This is why I love Canadian ladies?
I was in Vancouver just last week. I saw the luge in Whistler where I took a gondola up to the luge track. I also saw men's ice hockey and curling. If you didn't go to the Olympics, which one did you see and what events?
Did anyone here besides me ever to go seeany Olympics or this Olympics in Vancouver?
The Canadian Women's hockey team won the gold for the Olympics, if you didn't already know.. (Which I hope you did.) They were sighted to be celebrating on the ice rink with beer and cigar's. So what? I'll admit, US is being rather tight-as*es about it. I mean really... Our football teams do it too. Our most popular commercials ARE beer advertisement's. It was pretty stupid for them to be doing it in front of publicity, especially with underage girl's. Durr. Anyway, what's your input?
