yesterday i was watching Ali fights on ESPN Classics. in his rematch with Sonny Liston, as former heavyweight champions (Floyd Patterson, James J. Braddock, Rocky Marciano, Joe Louis...etc) were being introduced in the ring, Ali was bouncing in his corner with his back facing the former champs. when they made their way to Ali's corner (to wish him luck i assume), he didn't seem interested in turning around to face any of them or even acknowledge them. i felt bad that Marciano had to basically tap Ali on the back very quickly then walk away. your opinion?mahraja786... your a douche bag. i'm not some dumb chick who happened to catch an Ali fight on TV one night. i've been a boxing fan since 1989 and i've done plenty of reading on the life of Ali/Clay. but i'm NOT talking about his life or how his life affected others, i'm talking about his actions on that one night. its so sad how many of you assume that great talent = great person. just like O.J. Simpson & Michael Jackson. i feel that the great Ali acted like a complete A$$HOLE that night, period.

Sonny Liston's story or Jack Johnson? Great boxing films (Baging Bull, Ciderella Man) never seem to be about the modern celevrity fighters. Just look at "Ali." It just overglorified the already glorious champion by ignoring things like his defeats from Frazier and Norton and made him look like a pretty boy...or was that Will Smith's fault? Anyway, Liston and Johnson both had intriguing backgrounds. I'd say Liston, although the mystery around him wouldn't help.So what!? Lamotta was a bum by the time they made Raging Bull and whothe hell had heard of James Braddock before cinderella man!? They both won multiple OSCARS. A film is about a story. Not celebrity
