I want to act. I have wanted to do so since when i was 8. I will turn 22 soon. I tried several other career options when i was in college, but none of those seemed even remotely interesting to me. My mind always drifted back to acting. My bf of 5 years has helped me a lot in my life. He's my best friend and he always takes care of me. We made life plans together, opened joint bank accounts and phone accounts together. He hates careers in the arts. He especially hates theater and acting because it requires me to touch other actors. He was very mad at me the other day because one of the scenes in a play that i am working on required me to say "I love you" to another guy as one of the lines. We love each other very much. He says that he's jealous because he loves me. He is studying to become a doctor, so i know that I am in good hands in terms of security. He just turned 30. I don't know if i should give up something that I have loved for so long for this. Also, I am ethnic (middle eastern/ southern european), so i have an unconventional beauty to my face. I think it may come in my way as not that many people who look like me have made it in the American entertainment world (the ones that i look the closest like are Padma Lakshmi and Freida Pinto). Considering all these situations, Is it really worth it for me to follow my dream and give up my true love? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you.

Personally, I think the new Hardees commercial is hilarious. Not to mention that Padma is really hot.
